You’ve created a life that, from the outside appears successful and put together.
Yet still, inside,
you are tired.
You know where the patterns came from.
You’ve done the work and are not
flooded by the past.
But survival and living are
not the same thing.
Eventually, the masking that once protected you are strategies you’ve outgrown.
15.2%
Many women move through life carrying experiences they were never meant to navigate alone.
15.2% of women report four or more adverse childhood experiences, compared to 9.2% of men.*
This work exists because those experiences do not simply disappear with time, achievement, or understanding.
*CDC Adverse Childhood Experiences Study (consistently cited 2023–25)Two things can be true
You can deeply understand your trauma and still find yourself repeating familiar patterns.
You can be grateful for the life you’ve built and still feel disconnected from yourself inside it.
You can carry compassion for where you’ve been while also wanting something different for your future.
Healing is not about erasing your past.
It’s about learning how to stop organizing your life around survival.
“I felt hope for the first time in a really long time.”
2 in 3 Canadians have experienced trauma in their lifetime.
Statistics Canada, Survey on Mental Health and Stressful Events, 2024Understanding what happened is important. Building a life beyond survival is something else entirely.
Trauma-informed coaching | What it means for you
Trauma-informed coaching begins with the understanding that your past has shaped how you respond, protect yourself, and move through the world. That awareness is the foundation of how we work together.
This is not therapy.
We are not focused on what happened to you. Instead, we look at what is showing up in your life now - the cycles, protective behaviours, nervous system responses, and default actions that once kept you safe, and are not supporting the life you are trying build.
My coach training through Momentum is an ICF Level 1 accredited, trauma-informed program, which means working with your nervous system, not against it, is foundational to every session. There is no one-size fits all formula. Your journey is unlike any one else’s. We come together with curiosity, honesty, and care throughout the process.
I had a very empowering and meaningful experience with Koren at Curate Coaching.
I felt heard, seen, supported and understood without judgment.
Understanding that it takes time to heal old wounds, a shift happened and a new perspective was before me and I felt hope for the first time in a really long time.
What I would want someone else to know is that coaching can feel intimidating at first, but it can truly be life-changing when you find the right partner. You do not have to go through difficult things alone, and reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
— Kerri T.
You’ve likely spent years trying to understand yourself and your behaviours.
And still, when certain moments arise your nervous system reaches for what is familiar, even when familiar is not longer where you want to go.
Not because you are failing, and not because you haven’t done enough work.
But because understanding your past and building new patterns for your future are two very different things.
Therapy helps you process what happened to you.
Coaching helps you begin creating what comes next.

Meet Koren
For decades, I lived in my trauma. I did the things you’re not supposed to do and eventually, there came a time where I was ready to heal and I did the hard work. I worked with professionals, overcame obstacles and on the other side, I continued to live in the same trauma-cycle that became my default. I worked harder on the outside, masked what I was experiencing on the inside, and continued to make choices that didn’t feel aligned with who I was ready to become.
Curate Coaching grew from that experience.
My work combines trauma-informed coaching, nervous system awareness, emotional pattern recognition, and honest conversation to support women who are ready to move beyond survival mode and begin creating lives that feel connected, intentional, and sustainable.
You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning.
You do not need to have the end goal figured out to begin.
Only the quiet knowing that you can have and deserve more.
